Our Nags Head restaurant is rooted in Outer Banks history and our food celebrates our southern culture. Meals are respectfully crafted and prepared with the inspirational energy of today’s cuisine. We are considered by many to be the best place to eat in Nags Head.
The bounty of the Atlantic and the surrounding waters have always influenced the culinary culture at Owens’ Restaurant, the premiere Nags Head Restaurant. Our meal begins with local Outer Banks watermen’s harvest, locally sourced fish and shellfish. The jumbo lump crab in our Nags Head Restaurant features Lake Mattamuskeet crabmeat (the best crabmeat the best tasting from anywhere on the Atlantic Coast), handpicked exclusively for Owens’ Restaurant. Regionally farmers make daily deliveries to the restaurant ensuring the freshest ingredients possible. Certified Angus beef is the only beef on our menu as well as hand selected whole Maine lobsters. The menu has something for everyone including chicken and pasta.

To complement our meals Owens’ Restaurant has an extensive wine list. Wines can be found for the most experienced and discerning connoisseur to the casual wine drinker. Wines are available by the bottle or the glass. Cocktails, craft & domestic beers are also available.
Meal portions are generous, served with bread and our famous mouth-watering hush puppies, and cheese crock and crackers are included. Save room for dessert! All are hand-crafted in-house at our Nags Head restaurant daily.
